'Historic Parks & Gardens in Ceredigion' by Caroline Palmer
The Welsh Historic Gardens Trust (WHGT) is a national conservation and heritage charity set up to protect and conserve historic parks and gardens in Wales. They campaign to save historic gardens and parks from neglect, insensitive planning and inappropriate planting for future generations. Wales has many outstanding parks and gardens which are as much part of the Welsh heritage as the buildings and towns they were designed to complement.
This book was first published in 2004, and this reprinted version is a celebration of the rich heritage of gardens in Ceredigion that belonged to gentry houses as well as public gardens, parks and designed landscapes. Included are details of 31 gardens and their owners, an impressive A-Z with grid references of 200 sites, and 97 black-and-white illustrations, maps and plans.
